The organization shall be known as Country Club Wrestling Association (CCWAA), a non-profit youth athletic organization located at 116 Geneva Street, Decatur, GA 30030.

The purpose of CCWAA is to promote the sport of wrestling among youth in the Decatur, GA community; to develop character, discipline, and sportsmanship; and to provide a safe, inclusive, and competitive wrestling program for all participants.

Membership in CCWAA is open to all youth athletes, coaches, and volunteers who register with the organization and pay applicable fees for the current season. Membership is subject to compliance with all CCWAA rules, the Code of Conduct, and applicable state and national youth wrestling regulations.

  • Athlete members must be registered each season.
  • Parent/guardian members are encouraged to participate in organizational meetings.
  • Coaches must hold current certifications as required by USA Wrestling or applicable governing bodies.

CCWAA is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of elected officers and at-large members. The Board is responsible for the overall management, financial oversight, and strategic direction of the organization.

Officers include:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • At-Large Board Members (up to 4)

Officers serve one-year terms and are elected by the general membership at the annual meeting. No individual may hold more than one officer position simultaneously.

The Board of Directors shall meet at least once per month during the active season. An Annual General Meeting (AGM) open to all members shall be held at the end of each season for officer elections, financial review, and program planning.

Special meetings may be called by the President or by a majority of the Board. Members will be notified of all meetings with at least 7 days' advance notice. A quorum consists of a majority of current Board members.

The fiscal year of CCWAA runs from January 1 through December 31. The Treasurer shall maintain accurate financial records and provide a financial report at each Board meeting and at the Annual Meeting.

All expenditures over $500 require Board approval. CCWAA funds shall be used exclusively for the operation and promotion of the wrestling program, and the organization shall not distribute profits to any individual member.

These Bylaws may be amended at any regular or special meeting of the Board of Directors, provided that the proposed amendment has been submitted in writing to all Board members at least 14 days prior to the meeting.

Amendments require a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of the Board. Major structural amendments may be subject to ratification by the general membership at the Annual Meeting.

In the event of dissolution of CCWAA, all remaining assets, after payment of liabilities, shall be distributed to one or more nonprofit organizations serving youth athletics in the Decatur, GA area, as determined by the Board of Directors at the time of dissolution.

No part of the assets shall inure to the benefit of any individual member or officer of the organization.

Board of Directors

CCWAA is led by a volunteer Board of Directors elected by the membership.

President

Elected annually. Oversees all operations and serves as the primary representative of CCWAA.

Vice President

Supports the President and assumes duties in their absence. Oversees program committees.

Secretary

Maintains meeting minutes, correspondence, and official records of the organization.

Treasurer

Manages CCWAA finances, budgets, and provides financial reporting to the Board and membership.
